Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim have made You Can See Everything, a documentary about Elizabeth Holmes, the Theranos founder convicted of fraud. Distributed by A24, the film had a surprise screening at the Telluride Film Festival in the United States in September 2026.
Elizabeth Holmes appears as herself, unlike in the series The Dropout, where she was played by an actress.
Three years of filming
In April 2023, 34 days before reporting to prison, Elizabeth Holmes invited a film crew into her home. The filmmakers recorded her last weeks of freedom with her partner, Billy Evans, and their children. She was still maintaining her innocence. The shoot ended up lasting three years, and Nathan Fielder himself became caught up in his subject’s life.
A24 describes the film as:
"A mind-bending three-year journey into the abyss."
Two directors
Nathan Fielder is known for Nathan for You and The Rehearsal (HBO), series that play on the line between reality and staging. Lance Oppenheim comes from documentary, with films including Some Kind of Heaven (2020). The two men also produce the film, alongside Tatiana Bears, Maggie Ambrose and Jack Davis. The score is by Ari Balouzian.
The Theranos case
Theranos promised to run hundreds of medical tests from a few drops of blood. The company was valued at about 9 billion dollars before its technology was shown not to work. Elizabeth Holmes was found guilty of defrauding investors and sentenced to 11 years and 3 months in prison. She began serving her sentence in May 2023.
No release date has been announced for Morocco so far.
